A collection of paintings which explores one of the common characteristics of modern relationships – internet communication.
We are constantly travelling, moving around, covering unimaginable distances in insanely short time measurements. Going somewhere where sometimes you wouldn’t plan to go, meeting people, staying and living in different parts of the world, and being in touch and having a chance to see each other only in a digital 2D embodiment. This gives new character and distinct qualities to the visual appearance of those you know so well. This set of paintings builds the different “personalities” of internet communication, from how the distortions created by one person’s video processor become associated with the individual, to the idiosyncrasies of how people behave around this new and often unfamiliar form of communication. And how their physical form turns into a flat pixelated talking head, and sometimes quite beautifully distorted.
